Great Site, I was a Gunner on a 105mm in the Artillary on LZ ACTION, QL 19 & CAMP RADCLIFF in AN KHE OCT 68 to AUG 69. Then AUG thru Oct, I was a door gunner on a Huey for the rest of my tour. It was a real trip flying thru Mang Yang pass, & flying over LZ Action & Schueller and Base Camp after having been on the ground in Fire Support there for most of the time.. An Khe Pass to PLEIKU. Made some flights from AN Khe to Qui NHON. also DA NANG, Nha Trang. Also Chu Lai, Mang Yang Pass was the freakiest. We were flying by LZ ACTION one day When a jet was dropping some napam on the Hill just across from Lz Action. That was really nerve racking. We could feel the percussion & heat from where I was in the chopper. I couldnt even believe what I was seeing. Well thank God for the air force, I knew all the guys on the Lz. and was glad they got the help they needed. Thanks... to everybody every where who served anywhere then and now God Bless AMERICA!
