smile Fred, you've done a great job with this tribute to our fallen and our living heros of Vietnam. I was a Cobra pilot with D troup 1st Squadron 4th CAV, Darkhorse 38, stationed at Phu Loi in III Corp. I've often wondered how life really was in II Corp and I sense your writing very accurately describes it. One hears all kinds of war stories from those who were there; some ring true while others are somewhat embelished. Yours reminds me of the truth I remember, thank you for that.

By the way, while at Wolters my primary flight instructor was CWO Fred Ferguson. He was one of the coolest personalities I've ever met. I believe he was the first Warrant Officer to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor. I didn't learn of his heroism until I read about it in the Army times while I was in Vietnam.

Thanks again for a job very well done.
