How about St.Louis,Mo . Jefferson Barracks original home of the 1st Regiment of  Dragoons September 1833 .  The 11 ACVVC is planning to have their 2011 reunion in ST.LOUIS at the MILLENIUM HOTEL IN DOWNTOWN close to the ARCH and Busch Stadium.

I suggest Gettysburg because when we was there it was hard to enjoy and explore with Hurricane Hugo paying a visit.  There is so much History and a lot around there to do and we barely was able to scratch the surface with the bad weather .. The accommodations at the Eisenhower were superb ...

I prefer Myrtle Beach but my second choice would have to be Gettysburg.

Has it ever been on the west coast?

It looks as if Gettysburg is leading for 2012

I hope Gettysburg I was there in 2009 it was a Great place ,  but the Hurricane screwed things up and was unable to spend much time exploring on your own I believe it is a great choice ..

since i'm still across the pond - san fran or seattle would be great for me and the mrs. ...

another reason is all that proving i'm not a terrorist to empowered simpletons at each flight stage got old this summer ... tourism to the states must be way down from europe and asia ... even cheap as the dollar is ...

was ft benning a joke? i spent what felt like years there for 8 months out at north harmony church training shake and bake ncos, ocs and ranger schoolers ...  stay in columbus or phenix or on base? wow, just checked, no mention of the old unit ...

cheers and happy new year to one and all

Geeze...  dunno.  They have a Holiday Inn there?  I am not into tents or rocket box hootches any more.  :)

Due to my work schedule and travel limitations, I'd like to see a Branson, Missouri reunion. But, I'm only one vote.

Fred Lohr (D Troop 68-69)

I added Branson for an extra choice.   ;)

I'm hoping for Gettysburg.  It was great in 2006, and it's close to D.C. so those that want to take a few extra days can visit the capital.

Gettysburg was great, but the weather did stop a lot of the troopers from enjoying the sites. I liked the bus tour the best. As we get older we should allow for our infirmaries and use more bus tours at what ever site we choose. Doing  "Pickets Charge" was ok for the healthy, that was a long walk. Scouts Out!
