Title: CIB
Post by: dougpresnell on April 13, 2013, 10:23:19 AM
I was in C trp from April to September 1970.  We spent a few weeks doing grunt missions as we were preparing the unit to return stateside.
We were awarded the CIB and I remember seeing the orders, but I cannot find a copy.  Upon further research it seems that an MOS of 11E is not authorized this award.  Does anyone have a copy of those orders?

Hi. Rich Hansell A-28, That is correct only 11Bravos were given the CIB. I know, we all faced the same shit, but the men on the 28 tracks did a lot of the LEERPs and nightime ambush patrols. Just ask Rich Russo, you would think he was the only one to go on night patrol. HA-HA  Scouts out!
