I am currently renting a house in Elgin for years now. I would like to move into a house that had energy saving ability. This is an old house and the doors stick, sometimes don't open and rarely close. Seasonal house I guess. Anyway, I saw your ad. My dad was retired military. He has since passed but he loved this area. I guess is why I am still here, family. Take care and am going to look at your house. Thanks

Thank you for your time.

you have a very nice site. lots of information there. but what caught my eye was that you were in the 351st aviation company. I was there 67 - 69 at which time I was sent to Nam. I can't find anything on the web about what happened to the unit. do you have any info about it ?

Greetings!
I also served in the US Arm and am a Vietnam Vet. What I would like you tell me has to do with my family tree that goes back to about 1690 in the USA, and terminates with a different spelling of my last name. Lohr seems to me my real last name in 1690. Considering that many immigrants to to the US couldn't speak English and that US & Canadian Immigration officials transliterated the last names of people immigrating to the US and/or Canada I am curious about the true identity of my ancestors, which seem to originated in Lohr / Bavaria / Germany. I was in the 1st Cav in Nam an d thank you for serving our nation.

what I meant to say was I couldn't understand why he was so honored to spend time with me, as I was honored to be able to share time with him.

My brother, Alex Matau, was in the Hunter-Killer teams in Vietnam and spent 2 tours there in (1969-1971?). He is at Ft.Hood in Killeen,TX. I love and admire our Vets. There is a web site called: www.anysoldier.com, that our troops in Afganistan and Iraq write to asking for letters, soap, toothpast, socks, etc. Please visit the site and adopt a soldier or a unit. I wish this had been available for our troops in Nam. S.M.

Fred,
How the hell are ya? Got your website and email address from Dean Weithe. He was just here in Seattle last week. Haven't seen him in 20+ years. You too!
He told me you have a warehouse full of motel soap, towels and shampoo. Always knew you would be independently wealthy.
Did you finish your book yet? You know..."How To Go TDY on $30 A Day Or Less?"
I will be retired by this time next year. I live in Seattle now (work for Boeing) but bought a house in San Diego last year. We will be moving there. Married a second time. Between us, we have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. You probably didn't know that Polly passed away from cancer 21 years ago.
Drop me a line...
Craig

I served with the 238th AWC and with the 134th AHC where I was the platoon leader of the Guns. Our area of operations were any where in II corps. Your pictures bring back a lot of memories. At present I am the chief pilot for a major corporation flying Gulfstreams IVs. What a great job you have done on your web site.
